My story so far...
“Photograph: a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art.”
Roberta Pena de Silvestri, aka Tata, was born in Rome, the city where she
spent the early years of her childhood.
At the age of 13, her parents moved to Chile, birthplace of her father,
and there she started her travels throughout the Latin American
continent. It was during those travels that she discovered her interest in
photography and the lust to capture those moments of everday life that
ocurred in front of her. Though it wasn't until she moved to Paris a couple of
years later that she got the chance to learn the art for real, working
closely with various professional photographers, understanding the
intricacies of the many different styles that this beautiful artform has to offer.
At the age of 17 she got the opportunity to work as an assistant to the
photographer Hervé Lewis.
At the end of the 90’s she lived in New York, where she got to know
various young photographers from the local underground scene, with
whom she started a continuous collaboration that continues to this day. It
was in this city that she developed her particular interest in shadows;
things you see without really seeing them.
Today Roberta lives in the Malaga region, where she has participated in
some photo competitions (photo.fr),as well as in some collective

most prominent element is water.
